The Campaign to Ban Ads for Gambling is a national, non-partisan campaign working to end the advertising that fuels gambling addiction in Canada. Founded by Olympians, parents and grandparents of Olympians, public-health experts, university researchers, and community leaders, the campaign formed in response to the explosion of sports-betting advertising that followed the legalization of single-event betting in 2021.

Since legalization, the share of Canadians likely to experience problem gambling has grown six-fold, to 9.9% of the adult population. The campaign supports Bill S‑211, An Act respecting a national framework on sports betting advertising, which has twice passed the Senate unanimously, and ultimately advocates a ban on all gambling advertising, marketing, and promotion, comparable to Canada's regulation of tobacco and cannabis.

Ban Ads For Gambling is a not-for-profit corporation, incorporated in 2023 under Ontario's Not-For-Profit Corporations Act, 2010. It is volunteer-led, takes no money from the gambling industry, and its Directors and Officers receive no remuneration. Media contact: info@banadsforgambling.ca.
